About our Therapist

Jillian Sherrin, M.S., CCC-SLP

Jillian lives in Clayton, NC with her husband, 2 children, and 2 Vizsla dogs. She grew up in Northern Virginia and relocated to Clayton, NC with her family in 2013. Jillian graduated from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Disorders. She earned her Masters of Science Degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Jillian has enjoyed the clinical experiences of working in private school setting with Pre-K, Elementary, and Middle School children as an SLPA in Northern Virginia. She also enjoyed working as a COGMED working memory coach as breakthrough intervention that improves attention, behavior, and the capacity to learning by targeting working memory capacity through cognitive neuroscience and innovative computer-based design. Additionally, she has served in Johnston County as an early intervention Speech-Language Pathologist in the office setting, home setting, and daycare setting. Jillian has enjoyed the opportunity to provide therapy to children diagnosed with Receptive and Expressive Language Disorder, Phonological Disorder, Childhood Onset Fluency Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Apraxia, Down Syndrome, Dysphagia, Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Our Mission

Neuse River Speech and Language Therapy, PLLC is a therapist-owned, private company based in Clayton, N.C. NRSLT is accredited by the North Carolina Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, as well as nationally by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. We serve the infant through school-aged population in your home or child’s daycare in Johnston and Wake Counties.

We recognize the unique challenges your child may face. Our ultimate goal is to give children functional skills that will help them to reach their full potential and lessen their need for services in the future.

We conduct both formal and informal assessment measures to identify your child’s strengths and areas in need of improvement. Following the evaluation, we develop a treatment plan specific to the unique goals of our patients and their family. We are trained to treat a wide variety of speech, language, voice, and social communication.
